Safe, Affordable Water. Built to Last.

Addressing Somalia’s Water Needs One Town at a Time

Not Aid. Not a Project.

A Social Enterprise Built to Last

Durdur Water Enterprise is a Somali-led social enterprise providing safe, affordable water through professionally managed utility systems. In Badhan, our first location, revenues from water services now cover all operating costs, with no ongoing donor support needed to keep the water flowing.

We build, operate, maintain, and reinvest. Every surplus dollar goes back into the infrastructure, the community, and the next town that needs clean water.

  • Treated water piped directly to homes, schools, businesses, and clinics.
  • A utility model designed to replace water trucking and donor dependency.

Why Water

Before Durdur, families in Badhan walked 3 to 4 kilometres and paid cartel prices for trucked water. Today, treated water flows directly to taps.
